What is on this page

Eighteen Facebook ads Top Growth Marketing produced or ran for DTC clients, selected from 47 by public engagement. The top twelve each carry over 1,000 reactions or 200+ shares; two passed 45,000 shares. Each card shows the live post, the engagement Facebook reports, the ad copy, and a short read of why it travelled.

⚡ What the top performers have in common

🗣 They ask for something tiny. MyIntent asked for one word in the comments and got 38,000 of them.
📊 They carry information worth passing on. Home Chef's price comparison got shared as consumer research, not as an ad.
🪞 They say something about the sharer. Identity-led creative travels because sharing it is self-expression.
🎁 The prize is the product. Giveaways work when entrants are self-selecting buyers, not prize hunters.

The twelve that genuinely went viral 🔥

Ranked by engagement. Every one carries 1,000+ reactions or 200+ shares.

“Why is everyone talking about this bracelet? Beyonce, Bieber, and millions from around the globe have been asked this question! Tell us YOUR WORD below to win a FREE bracelet - new winner da…”
Why it travelled: The single best-performing ad in the whole set. It asks for a one-word comment, which is the lowest-friction action on the platform, and every comment pushed it further into feeds. Celebrity name-drops supplied the credibility; the daily-winner mechanic supplied a reason to come back. 47,000 shares from a comment prompt.

“Check out how Home Chef compares to grocery store prices! Try Home Chef today to get perfectly planned recipes and ingredients delivered to your doorstep for just $9.95 a meal!”
Why it travelled: 67,000 shares on a price-comparison video. People shared it as useful information rather than as an ad, which is the whole trick: a side-by-side against a thing everyone already buys turns your creative into a piece of consumer research.

“Check out today's LIFETIME Software Deal! We pride ourselves on finding, negotiating and delivering the best software deals on the internet!”
Why it travelled: Nine thousand reactions on a straight deal announcement. It works because the offer is genuinely scarce - lifetime pricing on software is a category people actively hunt - so the ad reads as a tip-off rather than a pitch.

“Limited Time Offer. Get a FREE Pouch of Soy Wax Melts! That's 200 Hours of Burn Time!”
Why it travelled: 1,100 comments on a free-pouch offer. The headline quantifies the free thing in hours rather than dollars, which makes a small giveaway feel substantial, and the landing headline names the enemy: messy, short-lasting candles.

Atlas Coffee Club

“"A perfect gift for any coffee lover" - USA Today”
Why it travelled: A press quote used as the entire hook. Running an earned-media headline as paid creative borrows a masthead's authority, and because the click goes to an article rather than a product page it keeps reading as editorial all the way through.

“EVERY traveler is going to want a pair of these shoes! SUAVS are crazy comfy, fold up super small, require no socks and allow you to walk all day with no blisters or sweat!”
Why it travelled: Whitelisted creator content with a proof story attached - trekked around Mexico, sand, cobblestone, jungle. The specificity of the testing is what earns the 630 shares; a brand could not make this claim as credibly in its own voice.

“WE DELIVER! [truck, house, surprise, box, water, happy face emoji sequence] Order now”
Why it travelled: Two words and six emoji. The lowest-effort creative in the set and among the highest-performing, because it makes one fact instantly legible with the sound off and asks nothing of the viewer.

“This Machine will cost you $0. Just buy the pods. No subscription needed.”
Why it travelled: A razor-and-blades offer stated in three short sentences, with the objection - no subscription - pre-empted in the last four words. 819 comments because the offer sounds too good and people showed up to ask whether it was real.

“Adopted a rescue pup with extreme separation anxiety... The ThunderShirt has been a game changer! Highly recommend! I can now leave for work without guilt or worry. - Kristine”
Why it travelled: A customer review run verbatim as the ad copy, with the emotional payoff - leaving for work without guilt - doing the selling. The 45-day money-back guarantee sits underneath as risk reversal rather than as the hook.

“Beers is a Los Angeles based experiential lifestyle brand centered around the love of beer. Made in the USA”
Why it travelled: No offer, no product shot, no discount - just a positioning statement people wanted to associate themselves with. Identity-led creative shares well precisely because sharing it says something about the sharer.

“Lounging around in my favorite "Heart of a Hippie" long sleeve from Om & Ah London... It has one of the best quotes I think... What's your favorite quote?”
Why it travelled: Creator post ending in an open question. The product is almost incidental; the quote prompt is what generated 4,000 shares. Note the structure - personal framing, product mentioned in passing, question at the end.

“We want you to try Marquis Organic as a healthier alternative to energy drinks. Because we know you will love it, we would love to offer you free shipping on your first purchase.”
Why it travelled: 359 comments against 435 reactions - an unusually high comment-to-like ratio, which means the ad started conversations rather than just collecting approval. Free shipping on a first order removes the only real barrier to trying a new beverage.

“Check out our top-rated Whey Protein! Each scoop gives you 25g of protein... 88% whey protein & 12% casein protein.”

“This product solves so many problems I never knew I had.”

“Want to experience the benefits of drinking alkaline water? But Hate Shipping? For a limited time, we are offering FREE Shipping”

“We want to CHANGE the way you think about energy drinks. Marquis is USDA Organic, and you'd never guess it was zero sugar and zero calories. With a mere ten ingredients...”
Why it travelled: Category reframe with an ingredient count as the proof point. Ten ingredients is checkable; 'all natural' is not.

📖 These are our own ads from 2017–2022. For current creative, the Paid Ads Library pulls live ads from Meta’s public Ad Library across nine DTC niches, refreshed every month.

Viral ad questions 💬

What counts as a viral ad?

There is no official threshold. On this page the bar is engagement you can see on the post itself: every ad shown has public reaction, comment and share counts attached, and the shares are what matter most - a share means someone put their own name behind your creative.

Are these ads Top Growth Marketing ran?

Yes. Every ad on this page is creative we produced or ran for a client between 2017 and 2022. The engagement numbers are Facebook's own, visible on each embedded post.

Why do older ads still matter?

Platforms change; persuasion does not. A comment-to-win mechanic, a price comparison, a press quote used as a hook - all of these still work in 2026. What has changed is the format they are delivered in, not the underlying structure.

What actually makes an ad get shared?

Across this set, three things: it asks for a low-friction action (one word in the comments), it carries information worth passing on (a price comparison, a genuinely new mechanism), or it says something about the person sharing it (identity and values creative).

Do shares mean sales?

Not directly. A share is a reach multiplier, not a purchase. The reason to study these is the mechanics that produced the reach - the same hooks and offers work on paid distribution whether or not anyone shares them.

Is a giveaway the fastest route to virality?

It is the most reliable, and it is also the easiest to do badly. The MyIntent ad worked because the entry was a single word and the prize was the product itself, so entrants were self-selecting buyers. A generic prize attracts people who will never purchase.

Where are the newer ads?

In the niche swipe files. This page is our own back catalogue; the swipe files are current ads pulled monthly from Meta's public Ad Library across nine DTC categories.

Can I see the full ad library?

Yes - the main library indexes every niche, with the hook and offer behind each ad broken down.
